Let me just say, I was almost considering a good review, but absolutely not! The accommodation was horrendously noisy, and the fridge looked like it hadn't seen a cleaning in ages. Plus, I expected a complimentary upgrade for enduring such discomfort, but I was clearly mistaken. a terribly uninspiring experience here in Istanbul.

Take advantage of the engaging local tours offered. they provide a unique insight into the city's culture and history.

The noisy environment at night disrupts sleep!!! The parking situation is an absolute disaster, shuffling cars continuously due to limited space!!! Upgrade those tiny lifts for better guest convenience!!!

Should you go for it? My answer.

I was thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness and delightful staff at this gem. The showers had excellent water pressure, and Wi-Fi stayed reliable throughout my stay. Located conveniently, with shops just five minutes away and a tram stop at the doorstep, exploring was a breeze!

the location of porta romanos hotel is super convenient, right by the tram stop which is great for gettin around the city. the staff here is amazin, they r really friendly and helpful, especially the receptionists who go out of their way to make ur stay comfy. i also loved the free tea and coffee provided in the room, it's a nice touch. my room was clean and cozy, just what i needed after a long day. plus, there's a supermarket and some nice local food spots close by which made life easier.

the breakfast could use a bit more variety, it felt kinda minimal. also, the lift is small if ur carrying a lot, can get overcrowded pretty fast.

The hotel boasts clean and spacious accommodations, with efficient wheelchair access and helpful staff who made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I especially appreciated being close to public transport, making it easy to explore the beautiful city without hassle.

More breakfast variety would be appreciated.

good location but noise issues

The front desk team, especially Mr Sardar and Ms. Mona, provided excellent support throughout my stay. The nearby tram station made getting around the city easy and convenient. I enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden area, which offered a tranquil escape from the bustling streets. The room had a lovely city view that enhanced the overall atmosphere.

Noise from neighboring rooms was quite noticeable, which made it challenging to get a good night's sleep.

It was just a well-suited match for a weekend jaunt in Istanbul, great for the money. The staff really went out of their way to help when I needed assistance finding local spots to eat. Take advantage of the nearby tram for easy city access.

cleaning staff replenished our room with water bottles daily. the partition insulation is poor.

The culinary scene around Porta is a treasure trove! Murat's Kebab House served up some legendary kebabs that had my taste buds dancing. the spacious and clean Double or Twin Room made settling in a breeze. Plus, the daily room replenishment of water bottles was a lovely touch!

Now, the sound isolation was a bit of a bummer. you'd occasionally hear snoring from the next room!

great service but room for improvement

The garden/lounge area is truly stunning and provides a lovely atmosphere to relax. The staff was incredibly helpful, particularly the manager who organized a fantastic private Bosphorus trip for us. The location is superb, with numerous shops just a five-minute walk away and a tram stop conveniently located outside the hotel. The city view from our room added to the charm of the stay.

The noise insulation in the room could be better.

The staff really went the extra mile when I caught a cold, providing me with broth and medicine. I loved unwinding in the beautiful garden area and indulging in a soothing massage during my stay. Only downside was the Wi-Fi dropped a few times, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. 🌼
